Network Operations Center
USA Datanet’s Network Operations Center (NOC) is located near our corporate headquarters. This facility is manned and secure 24x7x365, providing constant monitoring of systems, connections and networks. Along with carrier grade security built into the NOC, all systems have redundant back-up to ensure the seamless provision of service in case of equipment failure.
The NOC supports both fault and performance monitoring of the complex relationship between network devices, servers, and applications, all of which are necessary for the proper functioning of an end device such as an IP telephone. Thresholds are set on any monitored performance element to proactively monitor the network for immediate notification of potential bottlenecks or for advance indications of emerging issues.
As part of USA Datanet’s centralized network security architecture, the configuration includes a telephony firewall, ISP public firewall, web server firewall, and management firewall. These components will work in conjunction with customer firewalls or, in some instances, replace them. USA Datanet’s Hosted IP Communication Service will never transverse voice calling over the public Internet. Through the NOC, USA Datanet is constantly monitoring the dedicated broadband access connections between the customer site and USA Datanet’s switching architecture and our carrier partners.
